Profi 049 .8cc (And Now a 1cc)
The following pictures show the
new 2008 Profi .049 (.8cc). The New 1cc shares the same crankcase so outward
appearance is exactly the same.
And now a 1.0cc version for the
international FF guys. The 1.0cc has significantly more power than the .049!
FLASH!! New 2008 version of .8cc Profi is here now. This one is crazy, RPM
on standard 1/2A combat prop is now 34,300! At least 3000 higher than other
engines. This one is also turning Free Flight size prop at 31,300 rpm.
This is great news, engines are shipping right now.
 
 
The
pictures posted are of the 2008 production engine and you will see minor
differences from the first version. The latest version has a slightly raised
front bearing housing, otherwise identical exterior.
As you can see it is going to work for
1/2A Profile Proto, 1/2A combat, 1/2A racing, 1/2A Free Flight and maybe some RC
racing events. The 1cc is working very well in the FAI FF classes.
The exhaust exits downward and rearward as is common
to a couple other similar engines.
Weight is 10 grams less than the
competition. Price for the .049 is currently $145.00 plus $5.00 shipping.
The 1cc price is $155.00 plus 5.00 shipping.
Now Turbo plug heads are shipped with these engines as well
as the Nelson plug head.
It
makes for a better looking combustion chamber than the standard Nelson
plug setup however performance difference seems nil.
Turbo plugs are available at $5.00 each. The turbo
plug is going to give everyone many more heat ranges for the different
nitro percentages used in FF, CL and RC.
